Dear First Presbyterian Champaign Family,
Greetings! We hope you are well. We appreciate your continued partnership in God’s work in Congo. Thank you for your prayers and financial contributions. We are thankful to know that you are standing with us and our Congolese brothers and sisters.
We are approaching the end of our
first three year term, and plan to start our second
term in January. It has been a wild ride, living and serving in Congo. We have been blessed to form many friendships and we have received a wonderful introduction to the life and ministry of the Congolese Presbyterian Church. God is alive and active in Congo, and we are thankful for the opportunity to stand beside our Congolese brothers and sisters as they faithfully give witness to the power of the Living Christ.

Our Evangelism Department continues
to help believers and church leaders acquire Bibles and Christian
literature. In the last six months we have been able to finish hosting
laity trainings in each of the twelve synods. We have visited rural churches
in East Kasai and will make a few more important trips before the end of the
year. We had a terrific board meeting with all three Pastoral Institutes
as our Department seeks to inject new life into these important schools.
We recently held a seminar for all of the Synod Christian Education Directors
which empowered and equipped them for more faithful service.
We hope you have been receiving our
newsletters (posted on our PCUSA web-page). If there is anyone you would like
to add to receive these updates, please let us know. You are in our
thoughts and prayers each week.
Warmly in Christ,
Bob and Kristi
